Keywords. Essentials, so to say. Black, white, grey. Because life sometimes is just black and white, in stead of colourful.

Essentials. "Indispensable Elements", if you would look it up. Something you don't want to, or can't miss.

Meaningful drawings, you could say. Or, you could wonder why some are missing. Hope, luck, friendship. Surely, one would say, these are nice essentials too? Maybe they are. Maybe my 16 are just a handful out of hundreds, maybe thousands of essentials. And after all, don't you realize how essential something was, until its gone?

Maybe. I had trust, but I lost it. I knew joy, but in many different ways, some of which I lost, and some of which I cherish. I know despair, anger, pain and fear, and they come and go, unexpected, like old, unwelcome friends. Temptation, creativity and curiosity are always here - sometimes I love them, sometimes I wish they had no place in my life. Freedom and faith come in different amounts, and no matter what the amount, it always seems too little - or too much. Determination, well, I always feel I have too little of it. And the opposite can be said of loneliness. As for dreams, o well. And love? I wish I knew.

Meaningful words, or empty ones? Because no matter how you picture them, they will always just be pictures. Meaningful pictures, to add something to what feels like a meaningless life? Sometimes, the world isn't a colourful place, full of essentials things. Sometimes, the world is black and white, and quite simple. But that doesn't mean there are no essentials.

Paint your world in black, but essentials will always be there. In their purest, simplest forms. Black, and white. And maybe, in some shades of grey. They can't be classed as good, or bad. I wouldn't want to miss any of them, in the end.
